Words to Travel By:

“Bizarre travel plans are dancing lessons from God.” – Kurt Vonnegut

"We can't be lost.  We're making such good time." – a friend

"I've been absolutely terrified every moment of my life - and I've never let it keep me from doing a single thing I wanted to do."  – Georgia O'Keeffe [Because bridges are my kryptonite.]

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” - Mark Twain

About Me

An aspiring social historian with a Nikon, a restless streak, and a few free weeks a year.  My abiding interest in cemetery angels, crumbling buildings, bright neon signs, and dying towns leads me down back roads searching for the forgotten, the interesting, the left behind and the holding on. When I find them, I shoot them.

Sometimes, I'm distracted by butterflies.  I shoot them too.
